Music for the brain

Guitar expert, Taso Psychoulas, will be holding a free seminar on the significance of music, and the benefits it can have on growth and development. 

Taso will be discussing topics such as the impact music can have on a child’s development; how learning an instrument can improve your cognitive ability; and how music can change your life, and that of your surrounding community.

Meet Taso Psychoulas

Taso Psychoulas studied music at Melbourne University, Brisbane Conservatorium of Music, and the Victorian College of the Arts where he completed his Bachelor of Music Degree specialising in Music Performance.

A scholarship student, Taso was awarded the prestigious Austral Salon Scholarship for his achievement in musical excellence.

In 2002 Taso joined the Melbourne Opera before he went on to establish his career as a singer/songwriter and a classical guitarist.

Taso has performed for many notable patrons including the Prime Minister of Australia, the Hon. Kevin Rudd, and international business identity Mr. Rupert Murdoch. Taso continues to perform pop music in many venues around the Gold Coast and Brisbane.

Taso established Taso’s Music School in 2015 on the Gold Coast. Lessons are mainly aimed at teaching guitar and singing to kids ranging from Prep – Year 6. There are currently over 50 students for guitar and singing lessons. The programs can be set up within the school campus, private teaching, and private Skype lessons.
